Reply with quote | #1 | I would like to know how/when I would know that st johns wort was ready to harvest, also what parts of it should I use? Should it be used for tea or in a vaporizer? I am using it for a type of anxiety and I noticed in the studies they mention that an 0.3 % Hypericum, will that amount still be in homegrown st johns and if so how much of a plant should I use per dose/ Thank you for anyone able to answer any of these questios, sorry for the bombardment

Reply with quote | #2 | St. John's Wort is harvested on December 21st on the northern hemisphere and on June 21 in the southern hemisphere.
Don't prepare it in a tea. The water and heat will exterminate the hyperforin. A vaporizer would be a better way to go. Even better would be to grind it up and eat it raw, on a salad, perhaps on a salad.

Hi, I'm just about to start growing SJW and have posted a thread on here about which variety to buy from seed. Would you have any info on this please ? BTW, pleased to "meet" you - it's my first post. |
