Reply with quote | #1 | Hi, DMAE is the coolest. I'm taking about 500 mgs per day and i swear it has bumped up my IQ ten points. I also take some vinpocetine with it. Anyone else out there hooked up with that combo? |

Reply with quote | #3 | Waaaaaaaaaaaaaaaay. Ginkgo is good for circulation, which means that it is sending oxygen filled blood to periphery (brain, hands, feet, . . . . clit ) but it isn't specific necessarily to the brain. DMAE is the precursor to the memory, focus, feel good neurotransmitter acetylcholine. So, it's the precursor to the chemical that helps us to function better. My sister swears she got through law school on the stuff. I like it with a little vinpocetine. Vinpocetine is the precursor to the other happy neurotransmitters. |

Yup. I swallow two DMAE 500mgs and then I zone in on the newspaper, cover to cover (Ok 60% cover to cover) every day. I find that DMAE helps/makes me focus just as effectively as pricetam, which are illegal in this country, and without the upset stomach pricetam seem to induce. I'll try it with vinpocetine. Th nks |

Correction: Huperzine A is NOT Vinpocetine, but that also helps with memory as well. |

Reply with quote | #7 | DMAE? We used to get mailings about this, and I thought it was just quackery, sad to say. It sounds rather interesting! Dad went through college full-time in conjunction with a full-time teaching job and swore by his gingko, lol. I'm going to see if he's ever heard of this.:-)

Reply with quote | #8 | I've been using DMAE and SJW on and off for years. I always thought they went well together. I'm curious what brands of DMAE others have tried; I've found Source Naturals to be the best for it.
DMAE CAN cause agitation and contribute to stress in larger doses but it does work very well if you are careful with it. For that reason I haven't used DMAE much in a while but will prolly go back to it to help with studying as it has helped with that before. |

Seriously though, I would happily buy their brand of DMAE if I knew that the amount of elemental DMAE was at least equal to that of Source Naturals. On the link you gave me I don't see anything that indicates how much DMAE is in each capsule. |

By the way, the amount of DMAE Bitartrate and actual DMAE differs. For example, one Source Naturals DMAE capsule contains 351 MG of DMAE Bitartrate, which only provides only 130 MG of actual DMAE. |
